For the past several years Joyce and Marissa Mazzucco, with the help from those who attended the cooking classes held in the weeks prior to the event, cooked up a storm in the kitchen to create a feast for the community. Due to the current situation concerning Covid-19, we are unable to hold an in-person event, but we didn’t want to let this community event completely go, so we are bringing it to you virtually on Valentines Day February 14th.

We will start of with a short instruction on how to make the puff pastries that have been at all the new years events we’ve held in the past. If you want to join Marissa for making these treats you will need:
puff pastry (pie crust dough will work), peanut butter (or any other substitute), shredded coconut, toasted sesame seeds, and a bit of butter or what ever you use in its place. If requested Marissa will share the origin story of the new year, an overview of this years horoscope and if you wish you may virtually share your favorite new years dish as we gather virtually.Despite us not gathering in person here are the resources to use for the History, horoscopes, origami and kids activities.
